NB Chain | Carabiner Collar | Phantom Grey x Orange | 4mm | Circumference 42cm
CHAIN Collar – Stainless Steel. Real. Honest.
Not all chain collars are created equal.
Many use simple steel – which can rust, bend, or in the worst case, break.
And yet, a high price is often demanded – for a product that doesn't deliver on its promises.
With the CHAIN collar, we focus on what truly matters: solid, rust-free stainless steel.
Robust. Secure. Durable.
And because we don't do things by halves when it comes to safety, our CHAIN collar comes with a safety carabiner made of stainless steel.
This can be screwed shut – so it cannot accidentally open.
Normal carabiners can spring open if used incorrectly or, in the worst case, dig into the dog's neck. With our system, you are on the safe side.
⚠️ Important for use:
The CHAIN collar is not an everyday collar and is not suitable for dogs that pull on the leash. Due to its narrow, firm shape, the pressure is not distributed as with a wide leather or BioThane collar.
It is ideal as a stylish accessory or perfect for dog sports (according to FCI standard and suitable for tests) or for dogs that are 110% leash-trained.
💬 What makes the CHAIN collar special?
🟡 Stainless steel instead of simple steel
🟡 Higher breaking load – resilient & durable (more on this in the FAQ)
🟡 Rust-free and resistant to moisture
🟡 Stainless steel safety carabiner – screwable, won't spring open
🟡 Links glide gently through the fur – no pinching, no tangling
🟡 Handcrafted – simple in look, strong in effect
NEW & FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY: NEON ORANGE – The most striking color of the summer. While stocks last!
Please note, neon, metallic and other effect colors may wear off faster than standard colors.

The power collars are made of high-quality stainless steel.
Breaking loads:
3mm short link: 280kg
3mm long link: 250kg
4mm long link: 600kg
Our safety carabiner: 410kg
The pulling load of almost every dog is about 4 times its own body weight.
----
The chains are available in different widths and are powder-coated especially for you.
There's also a safety carabiner with a high breaking strength and safety lock. This original is only available from us, as we hold the patent for chains with this carabiner.
The chain collars are FCI standard and long-link. The short-link chains do NOT comply with the test.
----
Please only loop a leash next to the carabiner, never into the carabiner.
Please only use a leash if your furry friend is very good at walking on a leash and does not pull.
We're not saying this because the breaking load can't withstand it, but because with thin collars, the pressure can't be distributed evenly and over a wide area when pulled. This poses a risk of injury to the dog.

Suspension points
Due to the coating process, hanging points at the ends AND between the links are completely normal and unavoidable. Wherever there are contact points, no powder can penetrate, and therefore no paint can penetrate.
wear
Friction, whether between individual links or even from a leash, naturally causes wear. This is also completely normal and unavoidable. Depending on how intensively you use the chain, wear can occur more quickly.
Color indication for wear
Due to the different pigment composition of each color, metallic and neon colors wear off faster, especially between the links, than standard colors. This may also apply to very light standard colors. This is normal and unavoidable.
Care
Chain collars don't require intensive care. However, it's still worth cleaning your chain regularly with clean water, especially if a lot of dirt gets stuck between the links or after swimming in the sea. Additional dirt particles can lead to increased friction and therefore faster wear.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
This collar requires no special care. However, it should be rinsed regularly with water, especially after being in the sea. Salt or other dirt particles between the links can increase friction and thus lead to faster wear and tear. This means a used look will develop more quickly.
FAQs
Conventional steel chains are often made of simple, unalloyed steel. This can rust , is less break-resistant , and is sensitive to moisture, friction, or skin contact.
We only use stainless steel – a high-quality, rust-proof steel that is significantly more resistant, hygienic and durable .
This makes a real difference, especially when it comes to dog accessories – in terms of safety, skin compatibility and durability.

Our chains have the following load capacities, depending on the version:
- 3 mm short-link: up to 280 kg
- 3 mm long-link: up to 250 kg
- 4 mm long-link: up to 600 kg
-
Safety snap hook (stainless steel): up to 410 kg
This means that even with strong dogs, this material can be relied upon – provided it is used correctly.
Yes, this is completely normal. Where there is friction or where the links catch, the powder coating cannot hold permanently.
Even with very high-quality paints and careful processing, this effect cannot be completely avoided – it is part of the normal wear and tear of coated chains. However, the function remains unaffected.
No, that is also normal. With screw caps, there is always a minimal area without coating so that the thread can turn correctly. We keep this area as small as possible – but it cannot be technically avoided.
Each powder coating consists of different particles.
Standard colors (especially dark tones such as black, gray, anthracite) are usually the most durable .
Metallic, glitter, neon, or pearl colors contain special effect pigments that are more sensitive to abrasion. This is not a quality defect, but rather a matter of the nature of these colors.
In short: the more unusual the color, the more sensitive the surface – but of course still of high quality.
Yes! Stainless steel is rustproof – so no problem with contact with water.
However, we recommend rinsing the collar with clear water after use, e.g. at the beach or lake, to remove dirt or sand.
This prevents additional friction and ensures that the coating stays beautiful longer.
Animal welfare compliant:
Our chains are non-choking . They have a snap hook that prevents them from tightening – unlike traditional choke collars or even prong collars.
This means they are compatible with German animal protection law .
FCI/dog sport compliant:
For many dog sports or tests, chain collars are required , which must be long and single-linked – to ensure that no aids can be hidden .
Our CHAIN collars meet exactly these requirements.
💡 The snap hook is also allowed – according to the FCI there is no exclusion as long as the visibility of the neck is guaranteed.
→ Rinse it regularly with clean water, especially after contact with sand, mud, or saltwater. Dry it thoroughly and store it in a dry place. Care products are not necessary for stainless steel; for coated versions, you can apply a little clear wax if desired to maintain shine.
