Our leashes are made from a specially developed premium nylon rope specifically designed for the production of dog leashes and collars. It boasts:

For perfect flexibility with consistent stability - ✅ Double-Braided rope construction
Double braided for increased durability and long life - ✅ Comfortable weight

Best in a laundry bag – for clean linen and protected fittings

Waterproofing: Natural leather balm (wax/oil-based), water-repellent but not 100% waterproof. We recommend NOT using the collars and leashes while swimming, for example, at the beach in the sea or lake. Instead, remove them from the dog beforehand or use BioThane products as an alternative.

Leather is a natural material—more specifically, skin. And just like our own skin, it reacts to sun, moisture, heat, or mechanical stress . It can darken, become more supple, or become firmer—this is part of the natural aging process.
To ensure that your collar remains beautiful and functional for a long time , we recommend regular care:
- Cleaning: Only by hand, if necessary – with a slightly damp cloth and without aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.

Drying: After getting wet, always allow to air dry thoroughly – not on the heater or in direct sunlight .
- Care: Use a natural leather balm regularly, ideally based on beeswax or vegetable oils .
→ This protects, cares for, waterproofs and keeps the leather supple – without leaving any harmful residues.
→ Important: A good balm is harmless to animals and can even come into contact with the tongue without any concerns.

The leashes are comfortable to hold – you decide what works best for you and your dog.
We offer three standard lengths – suitable for everyday life, leisure time and your style:
- 1.5 m: Ideal for the city or busy situations
- 2.0 m: Gives your dog a little more freedom without becoming impractical
- 2.5 m: Perfect for hanging around your neck—ideal for relaxed, hands-free walks. For medium to large dogs, this length is ideal for casual walking.
The retriever leashes are measured from the hand loop to the end of the leash. The larger the loop for the neck, the shorter the leash.
- 8 mm: up to approx. 30 kg
- 10 mm: up to approx. 50 kg
Our lines are robust, but not designed for constant, strong pulling.
If your dog regularly pulls hard, we recommend a BioThane leash with Extreme Carabiner
The retriever leash is only suitable for dogs that are absolutely leash trained – that is, really 100%.
Since the rope is directly around the neck and quite thin, your dog should not pull .
This leash shape is ideal for dog sports, agility or quickly changing the leash , e.g. from the field to the car.
If your dog tends to pull or reacts impulsively, a retriever leash is not the right choice – for your dog’s protection.
Yes!
You can adjust the neck width of the retriever leash to your liking. The integrated stopper prevents the leash from tightening while running, ensuring it sits securely and comfortably on your dog's neck.
Best done by hand:
Soak the leash in lukewarm water with a little detergent, let it soak for a short time, and then rinse with clean water. Please do not use brushes! If you want to machine wash it, place it in a laundry bag at a maximum of 30°C to protect the snap hooks and fittings.
