MATERIAL & WEARABILITY
The base is our popular CLASSIC collar made of original BioThane® – robust, waterproof, easy to care for, and with classic eyelet adjustment.
For additional comfort, the inside of the collar is equipped with a soft, padded inner lining that is completely covered in genuine nappa leather.
The particularly soft leather ensures a comfortable fit while giving the collar a high-quality, elegant appearance.
Please note: As the inner lining is made of genuine leather, special care instructions apply. You can find these further below under "Care instructions for leather products".
EXTRA PROTECTION
After completion, every EMBER collar is additionally sealed and waterproofed by us.
This allows water and dirt to bead off the surface more easily, making the collar particularly easy to keep clean.

A small note:
The metal elements of the collar are coated. Signs of wear on the coating can occur over time due to friction and are completely normal.
Colors and crystals may also appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting, and environment.
The CLASSIC collar is made of original BioThane® and is complemented by high-quality padding on the inside made of genuine nappa leather.
BioThane® forms the robust base of the collar and is particularly durable, waterproof, and easy to clean.
The inside is additionally softly padded and completely covered with genuine nappa leather. This creates a particularly soft and comfortable feel when worn.
Size adjustment is done in the classic way using eyelets and a pin buckle.
IMPORTANT – REGARDING WEAR AND TEAR
Our hardware is made of high-quality metal alloys and is partially black-coated. Through normal use – e.g., friction from snap hooks or contact with sand, dirt, asphalt, or stones – slight signs of wear on the coating may occur over time.
This is due to the nature of the material and does not constitute a product defect. The functionality and stability of the hardware are not affected by this.
Our collars are naturally made to be worn and used in everyday life
These are completely normal signs of wear that can occur over time with a worn collar.
A small note on color: Colors can appear differently depending on the light, surroundings, and screen – and the crystals in particular always look a little different depending on how the light hits them. ✨
For our leather inner linings, we have deliberately chosen high-quality genuine leather from Italy.
Unlike many synthetic leather variants, genuine leather does not have a coated surface that can peel or flake off over time. With proper care, high-quality leather remains soft, supple, and comfortable to wear for many years.
The Nappa leather we use is particularly soft, ensuring a comfortable feel against the dog's neck.
Since the leather lining adapts permanently to the curve of the collar and is additionally subjected to stress from movement, friction, skin oils, and moisture, it requires some care – just like any high-quality leather product.
CLEANING
Please never clean the leather with a hard or highly abrasive brush and avoid aggressive or chemical cleaning agents.
These can not only damage the leather but also potentially harm any colors, splatter effects, or other surface finishes.
For normal cleaning, lukewarm water with a little mild soap is usually sufficient.
A classic saddle soap is ideal. It has been specially developed for the cleaning and care of leather and is also suitable for cleaning the BioThane® parts of the collar.
CARE
To ensure the leather remains soft and supple long-term, we recommend regularly using a suitable leather balm or leather care product.
We deliberately do not mention a specific brand here, as there are many good products available. We recommend using the most natural leather care possible, for example, based on beeswax or comparable nourishing ingredients.
The balm conditions the leather, protects it from drying out, and helps maintain its suppleness over the long term.
PROTECTION AGAINST MOISTURE
Additionally, you can regularly waterproof or seal the leather.
For this, you can, for example, use our own NB Care Spray – COMING SOON. This provides extra protection and helps water bead off the surface better instead of soaking directly into the leather.
IMPORTANT: Care for your collar regularly and not just when the leather already looks dry.
How often care is necessary depends on how intensively the collar is used. A collar worn daily is naturally subjected to much more stress than one worn only occasionally.
With a little regular care, the leather will remain soft, supple, and visually beautiful for a long time – and you will enjoy your collar for many years to come.

At our company, AQUA and EMBER represent two different collections.
Simply put:

The suffix EXTREME or CLASSIC describes the respective collar model:

No – this collar is part of one of our special releases and is made exactly once.
Once it is sold, this specific design is gone.
Many of our EMBER unique pieces are particularly elaborately designed: some are hand-painted, featuring specially mixed color tones, special effects, or even glow-in-the-dark paint.
Such designs often take many hours of manual work to create. This is precisely why we deliberately produce them only a single time and never again in an identical form.

They are based on our tried-and-tested collar designs and are also made for everyday use.
'However, please note: The Swarovski® crystals are a special detail. Very rough surfaces, heavy abrasion, or rolling around on concrete and asphalt can cause scratches or damage over time.
BioThane® itself is waterproof, but the genuine leather lining is not. The collar can naturally get wet, but it should not be permanently exposed to moisture or used for swimming. After getting wet, simply let it dry at room temperature.
In principle, the collar can of course get wet occasionally. However, for regular swimming or longer periods in the water, we recommend a collar without a genuine leather lining.
If the leather gets wet, the collar should subsequently be allowed to dry completely at room temperature. Please do not place it on a heater or dry it using intense heat.
We have consciously chosen high-quality genuine leather from Italy.
Many synthetic leathers consist of a coated surface that can become brittle, crack, or peel over time due to constant movement, bending, and friction.
High-quality genuine leather behaves differently: with the right care, it remains soft, flexible, and supple for a long time and develops its own unique character over time.
That is actually due to the light. ✨
Genuine Swarovski® crystals can look quite different depending on the incidence of light, surroundings, and color.
Especially in sunlight, many colors really show what they can do and begin to sparkle beautifully. That is why your EMBER may look a little different in person than it does on a screen.

If your collar is not custom-made, unpersonalised and unused, you can return it within the usual period.
If the collar has an engraving or special request, an exchange is unfortunately not possible.

Both buckles are based on the same principle and function reliably. Our standard quick-release buckles are of high quality and have a breaking load of approx. 400 kg – which is absolutely sufficient for most dog breeds.
However, if desired, we can also manufacture your collar with the original COBRA® buckle by AustriAlpin. This professional buckle has an even higher breaking load of around 900 kg and originally comes from the climbing and military sectors.
Yes. Genuine leather is a natural material and requires a little more care than BioThane®.
Daily wear and tear from movement, friction, skin oils, moisture, and the constant curve of the collar place a heavy strain on the leather.
However, with occasional cleaning and a little leather care, it will remain soft and supple for a long time. You can find detailed instructions in our care instructions for genuine leather.
For a collar used daily, we recommend more regular maintenance than for a collar worn only occasionally.
It is best not to wait until the leather already looks dry or dull. A small amount of leather care at regular intervals is usually perfectly sufficient.
Yes – and that is completely normal for genuine leather.
Leather is a natural material. Through use, movement, and care, the surface can change slightly over time and develop a natural patina.
Small wrinkles, changes in texture, or signs of wear are also part of the character of genuine leather and do not constitute a material defect.
Yes and no.
The splatter design is applied with a special paint and then sealed. A similar process has been used for years, for example, in the shoe industry.
Nevertheless, you should avoid cleaning the collar with abrasive brushes or harsh cleaning agents. Lukewarm water – with a little mild soap if needed – is usually sufficient.
