The black and rose elements are all coated. (not by us) Depending on use, they will wear out. This is completely normal. This is especially noticeable with black, as there is silver metal under the black coating. This is completely normal and unfortunately unavoidable. However, this does not change the strong function of the elements and is only an optical aspect.
For those who find this annoying, we also offer a silver version. If you cannot currently find this in the configurator, please contact us.
Our robust carabiners come from the climbing sector and have a high breaking load of 490kg. They are made of lightweight aluminum.
For perfect care, we recommend hand washing. This way, your metal elements will not be damaged and you can wash off any dirt quickly and easily. For the carabiners, we recommend that you regularly use oil to ensure that your carabiners last a long time. This also helps you remove sand contamination more easily.

FAQ
Our recommendation for the beach: Quick Release Carabiner .
They are less likely to become clogged with sand and are therefore easier to open even in sandy conditions.
Tip:
Oil your carabiner regularly – this prevents dirt and sand from settling.
If a lot of sand gets stuck to the carabiner (especially with bolt-type carabiners), don't try to force it open. Instead, rinse it with water. Once the sand is wet, it's easier to remove, and the carabiner will function properly again.
The magic word is safety .
Both carabiners are based on the same basic principle, but the safety bolt carabiner offers additional protection: It can only be opened when you activate the small safety lever. This prevents it from accidentally coming loose.
With the standard bolt-type carabiner, it can happen – especially with very active dogs – that the carabiner opens itself due to unfavorable pressure on the opening mechanism (e.g., from the collar's D-ring). The Safety model prevents this from happening.
Personalization is done via laser engraving. The text is permanently engraved into the material – extremely durable and high-quality.
No. The engraving is permanent because it is burned into the material and cannot be removed.

The engraving height is adjusted to the size of the product. It may vary slightly depending on the length of the name—especially for very small collars or long names. We always strive to create a harmonious overall look.
The engraving on BioThane is always a yellow/brownish tone. This is due to the BioThane.
On dark colors such as Light Brown, Chocolate Brown, Navy Blue, Blackout, the engraving appears very dark - almost black.
On very light colors such as neon colors, yellow tones or other light colors such as light gold etc., the engraving looks more like a light brown.
On all other colors such as Sage, Aqua Blue, Caribbean etc. it also appears slightly brownish but not as "bright" as with neon colors, for example.
This is completely normal and is due to the material; unfortunately, we cannot influence this.
Yes. A simple personalization with a name, which will be branded approximately in the center of the collar, is free of charge, regardless of the size or number of characters.
We also have some great engraving designs, but these are a bit more complex and therefore require a small surcharge. You can find them under "DESIGNS."
• Standard bolt carabiner
The classic – quick to open, approx. 280 kg breaking load, slightly heavier.
⚠ May open itself on very small D-rings of collars as there is no safety mechanism.
• Safety bolt carabiner
Like the standard model, but with an additional safety lock . It only opens when the safety lever is pulled. Breaking load approx. 280 kg, also slightly heavier.
• Quick Release Frog Carabiner
Made of aluminum, opens only when both levers are pulled. Very robust (approx. 400 kg breaking load) and lighter than bolt carabiners. Ideal for large dogs, less suitable for very small D-rings.
• Safety carabiner
Super-lightweight aluminum (the lightest carabiner in the range), with a breaking load of approximately 400 kg. Slim design – perfect for small D-rings. Opens only with a twist mechanism, making it very secure.
• On request: KONG Frog carabiner
Extremely robust with a breaking load of over 2 tons . Perfect for very strong, heavy-duty dogs. Made to order only.
