Sometimes things just need to be good, robust, and suitable for everyday use – without having to go straight for the most expensive option.
Especially when it comes to leashes, many people don't find it all that important whether it is original BioThane® or another high-quality coated material. That is exactly why we wanted to create an alternative that doesn't feel like a "cheap substitute," but simply does what a good leash needs to do: be secure, hold up well, and be a long-lasting companion in your daily life.
Our COATED leash is exactly that. Simple, robust, easy to maintain, and a bit more relaxed in terms of price – without us cutting corners on workmanship or safety.
MATERIAL
Our COATED leash consists of a PVC-coated webbing and is therefore very similar in construction to BioThane®.
The difference lies primarily in the fact that this is not a product of the BioThane® brand. Nevertheless, the material offers many of the same properties: It is waterproof, robust, tear-resistant, and super easy to clean.
The two materials are also very similar in terms of feel. Original BioThane® is slightly softer and more flexible, while our COATED material feels minimally firmer. In everyday life, however, this difference is hardly noticeable.
The leash has a width of 19 mm and can be equipped with different snap hooks as usual. Whether you choose a classic bolt snap or a particularly secure variant – you decide what suits you best.

The safety carabiners are also made of aluminum and are therefore much lighter.
Our quick release carabiners are also made of lightweight aluminum and have a quick release mechanism. Perfect when you need something quick but still offer a high level of security.
The pulling load of almost every dog is about 4 times its own body weight.
For perfect care, we recommend hand washing. This way, your metal elements will not be damaged and you can wash off any dirt quickly and easily. For the carabiners, we recommend that you regularly use oil to ensure that your carabiners last a long time. This also helps you remove sand contamination more easily.

Our recommendation for the beach: Quick Release Carabiner .
They are less likely to become clogged with sand and are therefore easier to open even in sandy conditions.
Tip:
Oil your carabiner regularly – this prevents dirt and sand from settling.
If a lot of sand gets stuck to the carabiner (especially with bolt-type carabiners), don't try to force it open. Instead, rinse it with water. Once the sand is wet, it's easier to remove, and the carabiner will function properly again.
The magic word is safety .
Both carabiners are based on the same basic principle, but the safety bolt carabiner offers additional protection: It can only be opened when you activate the small safety lever. This prevents it from accidentally coming loose.
With the standard bolt-type carabiner, it can happen – especially with very active dogs – that the carabiner opens itself due to unfavorable pressure on the opening mechanism (e.g., from the collar's D-ring). The Safety model prevents this from happening.

• Standard bolt carabiner
The classic – quick to open, approx. 280 kg breaking load, slightly heavier.
⚠ May open itself on very small D-rings of collars as there is no safety mechanism.
• Safety bolt carabiner
Like the standard model, but with an additional safety lock . It only opens when the safety lever is pulled. Breaking load approx. 280 kg, also slightly heavier.
• Quick Release Frog Carabiner
Made of aluminum, opens only when both levers are pulled. Very robust (approx. 400 kg breaking load) and lighter than bolt carabiners. Ideal for large dogs, less suitable for very small D-rings.
• Safety carabiner
Super-lightweight aluminum (the lightest carabiner in the range), with a breaking load of approximately 400 kg. Slim design – perfect for small D-rings. Opens only with a twist mechanism, making it very secure.
• On request: KONG Frog carabiner
Extremely robust with a breaking load of over 2 tons . Perfect for very strong, heavy-duty dogs. Made to order only.
