Yes, this is generally possible. However, make sure that the collar – especially the paracord – dries completely after contact with water. We still do not expressly recommend it as a water collar, as the paracord may fade over time.
Simply rinse the collar with water. For more stubborn dirt, you can use mild soap. Please refrain from using aggressive cleaning agents and rough brushes to avoid damaging the paracord and to preserve the colors for a long time.
No, your dog is still safe. We work with very secure knots that are neatly fused on the back. Loosening is extremely unlikely. And even in the improbable event that the paracord comes loose, the underlying BioThane collar remains completely intact and functional.
